Interview with Confidence
Workshop Aims
This workshop is aimed at anyone who attends or conducts interviews. The workshop provides the participants with a step by step guide that will ensure that interview nerves and embarrassing moments are things of the past. It is a practical, 'hands on' course that has been designed to help the interviewee and interviewer develop the confidence and skills that will ensure the interview process is enjoyable and rewarding for all concerned.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Identify and apply the skills needed to participate effectively in any interview session
- Explain your point of view clearly and articulately
- Listen to questions and provide succinct relevant answers and evidence
- Confidently ask questions relevant to the position/situation
- Build rapport with the interviewer/interviewee
- Apply the skills needed to maximise their interview performance
Content
- Identifying the different types of interview situations.
- Identifying the skills needed by the interviewer and interviewee in each interview situation.
- Getting into a positive state to build rapport (Skills practice)
- Applying communication skills (questioning, listening, providing feedback and evidence).
- Applying the communication skills in the interview situation.
Expected Outcomes
Participants are expected to be able to ask and answer interview questions and provide evidence in a confident, relaxed, professional manner that generates positive results.
